Zemana Hates Me

Dear Zemana,

About 1 year ago, I had my ZAL Lifetime key expired or no longer valid during a reinstall, Just yesterday I noticed that my ZMA for android was expired or the key is no longer valid, not sure if its an update on phone or something I or whoever used my phone did.... Keys I used was ZMA-GIVEAWAYME for my phone which was said to have 380 days of protection, its about 4 months and key is no longer valid on my phone, ZMA is one of those set it and leave it type of apps for me, glad...

Here's something interesting people may want to test for themselves regarding Zemana.

Install Zemana on a machine, then register for a (free) Screen Connect/Connectwise account. Go to the 'access' tab and build an executable for perpetual remote access. Download and run this on a machine with Zemana installed and then wait a couple of hours.

Eventually, external connections to your Screen Connect account will show up. The reason is 'something' is executing the exact file you built for...

Does ZAL use > 100 MB RAM?

Hi,

I wish that ZAM 3.0 would have an Anti keylogger feature so I could remove ZAL 2.0 so I could save over 100 MB of ram having to run the program just for an anti-keylogger. I turn off Real-time protection because I am using ZAM 3.0. I guess when you turn off ZAL real-time protection it doesn't unload the signatures from memory I guess.

This screenshot may look like Zemana Anti Malware but it is Zemana Anti Malware's real-time protection module I believe, also it has the ZAL program icon...

Does ZAL use > 100 MB RAM?

Zemana Quarantine Action

I just installed the latest version of ZAM 3.0 and tested it at the AMTSO website. I noticed that when I attempted to download EICAR, I noticed a pop-up that said ZAM detected a threat, Open Quarantine but when I click on that button, nothing happens. It seems that ZAM Blocked the file from downloading instead of Quarantine. Is this normal?

I'm interested in getting an idea of how many MalwareTips members use Zemana as an on-demand scanner. If you use it, which version is it? Use both? Don't use it? Don't trust it? I think it would be highly appreciated by all if you made it easier for users to obtain they're lost license keys and be able to reset them much like Malwarebytes allows you to do so. This would be a small improvement that would help many.
